101 Palmer Johnson

The 101-foot Palmer Johnson motorayacht MOON RIVER received an integrated audio-video and navigation system by IMS American, providing iPod, XM, CD, DVD and satellite audio throughout the boat. The media room was outfitted with a 37” Samsung LCD TV mounted on a Motivated Design® pop-up lift housed within a custom cabinet fabricated by ACY. Navigation components include a complete NavNet® 3D system, a custom switching system, Simrad® autopilot, a Northstar® GPS, a navigation computer and dual ACR® spotlights. Working in coordination with ACY’s architects and carpenters, IMS created a new helm configuration and custom alarm panel.

The helm station on the new ACY42 INDEPENDENCE is outfitted with a Furuno NAVnet® 3D system,12 kW radar and an AIS black box receiver. IMS also equipped the vessel with a Sirius® weather module and a Simrad® AP28 autopilot featuring an LCD display with intuitive interface. The all-weather marine stereo system features components by Clarion® and JL Audio®. A thermal-imaging camera from FLIR® completes the package, giving INDEPENDENCE the power of night vision.
44 Garlington

IMS American joined Bausch-American Towers in creating a truly unique look for the D&D, a 44’ Garlington. The newly-reconfigured helm was painted navy blue to match the buggy top and control box on the custom tower installed by BAT. IMS installed a Northstar® 6100i system with a 10 kW radar network system at the helm and in the tower station. A KVH TracVision® M5 mobile satellite TV antenna was also installed. The master stateroom, crew quarters and main salon were outfitted with new LCD TVs, which included custom mounts in the master stateroom. The D&D was also outfitted with a new outdoor bridge marine stereo from Clarion® and JL Audio®.

PAST PROJECTS
59 Selene
IMS recently completed a major installation of navigation and entertainment systems on a 59-foot Selene trawler yacht. Navigation components include a Furuno NAVnet® 3D system in the helm with a black box and two multi-functional displays, along with a Simrad® auto-pilot and Icom® VHF radios. On the bridge, IMS installed a redundant NAVnet® 3D system and Simrad® auto-pilot station and designed a custom antenna arch that was fabricated to hold the GPS and VHF antennas. Entertainment system components include a Sharp Aquos® 32-inch LCD TV cleverly concealed in the salon cabinet, along with Polk Audio® ceiling speakers and a Sunfire Junior® subwoofer. The master stateroom is equipped with flush mounted radar repeater monitor and a 20-inch Sharp Aquos® LCD flush mounted and angled toward the bed.
42 Gamefisherman
IMS and ACY teamed up to rebuild the helm station on TEASER, a 42’ Gamefisherman express yacht. The helm was outfitted with two Furuno NAVnet® VX2 black box sounder/radar/plotter combos and two KEP Super Sunlight® monitors. On the crow’s nest, ACY fabricated a custom electronics pod to hold a redundant 7-inch NAVnet® VX2 station and autopilot, along with a Furuno® R309 variable frequency transducer.
34 Bonadeo
IMS outfitted this new 34’ Bonadeo center console open fisherman with a cutting-edge Raymarine® navigation package, including two 12-inch E120 screens displaying radar, depth sounder, and a Sirius® SR100 weather system. Completing the package is a Raymarine® 4kW open array radar, a Simrad® AP24 autopilot and a Standard Horizon® VHF radio.

FLIR Navigator Night Vision
The Navigator is a thermal imager designed for navigation and collision avoidance. It features the same thermal imager found in many of FLIR's military products, and is packaged in a rugged enclosure designed for forward navigation. Navigator is available in 3 configurations: as a fixed-forward system, a panning only system, or a pan-and-tilt system with 360-degree visibility.
Carlisle & Finch Night FINDER 200
The Carlisle & Finch NightFINDER™ 200 combines a searchlight and thermal imaging camera on a single platform. The camera housing blends in aesthetically with the streamlined searchlight design, thus maintaining the beauty and sleek appearance of any vessel. No additional mounting space is required for camera pan/tilt equipment, thereby eliminating the need for additional equipment on the exterior of vessel. The camera can be turned on while cruising, with the searchlight off. If an image on the screen needs to be identified, simply turn on the searchlight switch. The beam will instantly and accurately illuminate the object or person, because the searchlight is already aimed directly in-line with the camera. The thermal imager will detect a human from 1,000 to 2,000 feet in total darkness, and the world's most powerful streamlined searchlight will project a beam over 2 miles on a clear night!
